SEUL: The North Korean military declared that it was on the lookout for more bubbles that might be carrying debris from North Korea on Sunday.
Last month, North Korea sent hundreds of balloons filled with bags of garbage into the South in two waves, describing them as a reply to anti-Pyongyang advertising balloons that North Korean activists had sent the other method.
Pyongyang halted the bubbles on Sunday, but a South Korean organization called” Soldiers for Free North Korea” reported sending 10 bubbles with K-pop music and 200, 000 flyers to Kim Jong Un a few days later.
According to its spokesperson, the South Vietnamese military is” carefully monitoring with vigilance” because” there may be more trash balloons descending around tomorrow.”
North Korea had promised to send “wastepaper and dirt” in response, sending 100 times as much as possible if more North Korean pamphlets were sent.
Last month, North Korean balloons touched down in a number of North Korean locations, where it was discovered that they were carrying garbage like cigarette butts, plastic scrap, and used batteries.
In response to the bubbles, South Korea on Tuesday totally suspended a 2018 defense cope with the North, which was meant to reduce tensions between the neighborhood.
Officials in Seoul have referred to the North Korean bubbles as “low-class” acts and have threatened to use countermeasures that Pyongyang would get “unforgetable.”
    Duelling misinformation
Activists in South Korea have huge sent balloons northwest, filled with anti- North advertising, money, corn, and Korean TV series on USB thumb drives.
North Korea, whose government is extremely wary of its citizens getting access to North Korean pop society, has always been irritated by these.
Another North Korean activist group, Kuensaem, reported to AFP that it threw 500 plastic containers into the water on Friday near the North Vietnamese border.
The South Korean television line” Crash Landing on You,” which stars a powerful South Korean daughter and a North Korean army official, was found in the bottles with corn, money, and a USB drive.
Since 2015, the team has been doing this half a month.
” We were just doing what we’ve been doing for a long time to enable North Koreans who are starving”, the group’s chief Park Jung- oh told AFP Saturday.
In the past, tensions over the dubious advertising have boiled over in spectacular fashion.
Pyongyang formally cut off all established military and political communication channels with Seoul in 2020, blaming the anti-North flyers, and blew up a deteriorating inter-Korean liaison business on its side of the border.
Next year, South Korea’s Constitutional Court struck down a 2020 regulation that criminalised the giving of anti- North propaganda, calling it an unfair limitation on completely speech.
Kim Yo Jong, Kim Jong Un’s strong sister, made fun of South Korea last week by criticizing how they had complained about the balloons, claiming that North Koreans were only expressing their political freedom.
