Gov. President Joe Biden was described by Ron DeSantis (R-FL ) as” a serial liar” over a number of statements he made while he was president, including those regarding the border security.
The governor of Florida specifically criticized Biden for not attempting to address the border issue until earlier this year, noting how the senator has blamed Republicans in Congress for preventing policy to secure the border. He added that Biden had “reopen the boundary”” the day after the election” and that the country’s voters should decide whether or not to support him.
” Well, you have two things. One is — , you’re right, Mark — this person is a prolific liar”! DeSantis said on Fox News’s Life, Liberty, and Levin. ” On all variety of problems, on the frontier, on the undergraduate loans, on even small points, that he’s constantly doing it! The difference is when Donald Trump was president, if he’d said something with a comma out of place, you’d have, like, 10, quote, unquote, fact- checkers from commercial media organizations trying to say,’ Oh, that’s no true,’ and they would do all this and spin every this off. With Biden, these guys have gone on a three- and- a- third- time vacation! They generally let him do all this stuff — , very seldom, he’s held accountable, often in an indirect way, often with simply friendly fire”.
DeSantis also criticized Biden for disobeying the Supreme Court’s ruling from the previous year, which stated that the president may revoke student debts. In contrast to the court’s ruling, Biden recently campaigned to have student loans cancelled for voters, and he now has done so for more than 5 million people.
DeSantis also brought up the subject of the rising cost of living, claiming that Biden is” 100 %” at war with the American middle class. The government cited Biden’s “unprecedented saving binge” when he entered the White House, which he claimed has caused astronomical prices in the nation.
” And therefore, of course, if you just seem at his general approach to power plan, he is putting environment ideology over bread- and- butter economics for the American people”, DeSantis said. ” He wants you to pay more for gas, he wants you to pay more for electricity, and he wants you to pay more for automobiles. Mark, most people do n’t want an electric vehicle, but most people ca n’t afford an electric vehicle, and yet he wants to plunge us in that area. So it’s been a frontal assault on the middle class, on working people all in service of this really bankrupt, left- wing ideology”.

DeSantis previously attempted to run against Biden in the 2024 GOP primary, but the governor resigned and supported former US President Donald Trump in January. He also denounced the recent ruling in the former president’s hush money trial, contending that the case would never have been brought if Trump had not been the accused.
In the first 2024 election poll since Trump’s verdict, the former president received 50 % of support, compared to 45 % for Biden in a hypothetical matchup between the two. Biden led Trump 47 % to 39 % in Nevada in a January 2020 poll, a state he previously lost in 2016 and 2020, according to Fox News.
