EL PASO, Texas ( Border Report ) — Dog owners beware.
Beginning August 1, the United States will update its regulations for bringing puppies into the region.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has updated its guidelines, which may affect where the dogs are coming from.
According to the CDC, the principles apply to all puppies, including babies, company wildlife, and dogs that left the United States and are returning, and they also apply whether you are a U. S. member, legal U. S. native, or foreign national.
” If you do n’t follow CDC’s rules, your dog wo n’t be allowed to enter the United States”, the CDC says, adding that if your dog is denied entry, it will be sent back to the last country of departure at your expense.
CDC guidelines for pups entering the United States:
- Appear good upon entrance
- Have a minimum of six months of age.
- Get microchipped
- Get presented with a CDC Dog Import Form online certificate.
Moreover, a U.S. Customs and Protection news release stated that a dog’s location and location may require proof of rabies immunization based on where the puppy has been for the past six months.
Rafe is over 99 % dangerous, but it can be prevented, according to the CDC, and it was completely eradicated from the US in 2007. However, canine rabies is not controlled in over 100 countries, creating a hazard to the United States in transported dogs.
” Through laws, CDC aims to protect America’s individuals, communities, and animals by preventing the restoration of canine rabies into the United States. Public health is a top priority in the United States to stop diseased dogs from entering. It is possible for each imported doggie with rabies to harm people and other animals, and its containment cost more than half a million dollars. the CDC says on its site.
Additionally, the media rules address issues brought on by deceptive documentation.
” Regulating dog import helps safeguard the health and safety of individuals and their dogs,” said Port Director Donovan Delude.
The CDC and CBP have provided information on how to get all the necessary paperwork and information on their blogs.
