Tuesday morning, the Texas Senate’s Committee on Border Security did discover invited evidence from state and local authorities regarding their “participation in border safety.” Before the upcoming parliamentary treatment, which will start in January, the panel’s work includes monitoring the implementation of new regulations.
Lt. Gov. Three Republicans and two Democrats made three large time claims for Dan Patrick’s commission:
- ” Securing the Texas- Mexico Border”:  , Reviewing state and local agencies ‘ involvement in border protection, examining the impact of organized violence, and making recommendations to” overcome legal companies”.
- ” Help for Border Security Personnel”: examining how Operation Lone Star has affected the well-being of border patrol officers and national watch personnel.
- Monitor certain legislation that was passed in the 88th Congress last year, including the creation of a frontier operations training program for local authorities and a plan to pay property owners for harm brought on by illegal activity at the border.
The commission hearing is scheduled to start at 10 a. m. in the Capitol extension. Changes will be provided daily by Nexstar.
