According to research by The , Yomiuri Shimbun, a Russian-registered goods ship appeared to have traveled to a North Korean interface in April to perhaps get up weapons and ammunition for , Russia.
Satellite pictures show the fleet, believed to be the Lady R goods vehicle, docked at Rajin, located in the northern area of the country. It also seems that the fleet had called at , Vostochny Port , in , Russia ‘s , way south in the same month. The cargo ship is suspected to have been used to carry weapons and ammunition to , Russia, which continues its military hostility against , Ukraine, in contravention of , U. N. Security Council , proposals on , North Korea ‘s , nuclear and missile growth.
Numerous North Korean oil containers visited the Russian port in April, according to earlier research. Yet though a UNSC quality restrains the region’s imports of refined petroleum products, the ships are suspected of picking up them and then shipping them to , North Korea. The research indicates that the two countries are extremely dependent on each other amid , Russia ‘s , prolonged anger in , Ukraine.
The satellite photograph analysis was conducted with , Katsuhisa Furukawa, a former member of the , U. N. panel of experts that monitored the application of punishment that the , Security Council , imposed on , North Korea , over its nuclear and missile growth. In the study, the shape and size of the fleet seen in many satellite photographs of the ships were compared with images released by the specialized , U. N. body , International Maritime Organization , and others.
The pictures of the ships were captured by , U. S.  , place business  , Planet Labs PBC , between early and mid- April. Photos taken on , April 2 , and 3 exhibit what appeared to be the Lady R anchored at a wharf with piles of vessels at , Vostochny Port. Eventually, photographs taken of , Rajin Port , on , April 14 , appear to show the vehicle docked it.
The Lady R did not install its automatic identification system while moving between the Russian and North Vietnamese ships, so the ship’s actions could not be identified, according to the Marine Traffic site, which provides data about vehicle locations around the world.
