MEXICO CITY ( AP ) — Mexico’s historic Chapultepec Castle has been seen flying the black Targaryen flag, and officials in Mexico are n’t amused.
The story of the” House of the Dragon”, a” Game of Thrones” storyline, apparently involves countries around the world taking sides in a civil war for power of the Iron Throne.
The suppliers of the HBO series , posted a picture Monday , of the 19th- era Mexico City hilltop mansion showing the dark Daenerys flag hanging over the battlements. The symbol, representing Queen Rhaenyra, consistently has a lion on it.
Officials in Mexico threatened to file a lawsuit on Monday, saying it was n’t true. But it’s not because they support Laenor Velaryon.
The colors had not actually hung at the page, according to Mexico’s National Institute of Anthropology and History, and had been created by some sort of systems.
The academy, which is the , lawful custodian of the country’s ancient buildings and objects,  , was hopping mad that the historic site had been used in the advertising plan, and said they would take legal action.
The statement from the university, known as the INAH, read,” The procreation of images from this site for use in promoting this collection has not been authorized.” The INAH lawful division will take all necessary legal steps because this constitutes an illegal use of traditional site images.
HBO did not respond to messages asking for post right away.
Mexico’s ability to defeat artificial intelligence and computer-generated photos is uncertain. The university did not assert the video’s original author rights. Anyone could have filmed the blog since it is open to the public.
