In response to an over hit that resulted in the death of one of its senior commanders, Hezbollah, launched one of its heaviest rocket barrages into Israel on Wednesday, hitting military installations and an arms factory.
Taleb Abdallah, the leader, was one of the highest-ranking Hezbollah members to have died since the Hamas-led assault on Israel on October 7 that started the Gaza war. Hezbollah launched cross-border assaults in support of Hamas in response to the Jewish offensive. Abdallah and three different Hezbollah fighters were killed when the Israeli government struck a Hezbollah command and control center, according to a statement released on Wednesday.
Israeli military television reported that around 150 missiles had been launched from Lebanon in an obvious response to the Jewish hit as sirens rang across northeast Israel. Attacks by Hezbollah were reported on a number of military installations, including Mount Meron, a township with a sensor train that is located about 8 kilometers south of the border. The Islamic State ( Hezbollah ) vowed to increase its attacks.
There were no pending reports of deaths resulting from the jet barrages. The Israeli army claimed that some of the missiles had been intercepted, but that some had hit the ground and started burns.
