
Israel and the Palestinian armed groups have been accused of war crimes by a UN committee that is looking into the problems on Israel and the subsequent conflict in Gaza, and the board claimed that Israel‘s actions included crimes against humanity.
The three-person fee, led by South African of Tamil descent Navi Pillay, a previous UN human rights captain, released its most in-depth analysis of situations since October 7 in a report released on Wednesday. The report provides an analysis of the actions taken in the Gaza turmoil that is likely to be taken into account by the International Court of Justice and other global legal proceedings even though it does not itself have any penalties. Israel did certainly engage with the sensor and protested the panel’s judgment, the screen- which also included Miloon Kothari, an Indian expert on human rights- said.
According to the report, Hamas’s defense wing and six other Arab armed groups killed and tortured people during the Israeli assault on October 7 that included over 800 civilians who were among the around 1, 200 who were killed, aided in some instances by Israeli civilians. An extra 252 individuals, including 36 children, were taken prisoner, the statement said. ” Some violence were carried out with considerable physical, emotional and sexual assault and degrading and humiliating care, including in some cases parading the captives”, it said. Hamas has rejected all charges.
Israel, according to the commission, has also committed war crimes while conducting its campaign in Gaza, such as the use of hunger as a weapon of war while laying full siege on Gaza. It claimed that Israel’s use of large weapons in densely populated areas constituted a direct attack on civilians and had the fundamental characteristics of a human rights violence, disregarding the need to distinguish between soldiers and citizens.
