A crocodile that had” seen and lunged” at children and adults in a remote Australian community and had eaten the locals ‘ leftover dogs ended up in a traditional feast, according to AFP.
After consulting with elders and traditional owners in the Bulla community, the police killed the snake before serving it as a” traditional meal” for the locals. They said,” The community prepared it for a dinner in the traditional fashion.”
The turtle, which was almost 3 meters long, had been” spying and lunging at children and adults,” according to Northern Territory officers.
The statement stated that the snake apparently had taken several neighborhood dogs.
Sergeant Andrew McBride told American public broadcaster ABC,” I believe he was cooked up into turtle neck sauce, it was on the picnic, a few items were wrapped in banana leaf and cooked underground.”
” There was a rather large standard feast”, he added.
Following storms earlier this year, authorities reported that the snake had migrated to a creek close to home areas. This river is located north of Darwin, about six hours drive away.
