Vice President Kamala Harris promised Ukraine$ 1.5 billion towards power support, emergency equipment repairs within the industry, and philanthropic efforts.
Harris was in Lucerne, Switzerland, on Saturday for the Summit on harmony in Ukraine, where she met with President Volodymyr Zelensky and made the announcement. Some$ 500 million will go to energy, while another$ 324 million will go to repairs, and$ 379 million in food, water, and health services for Ukrainians.
” This war remains an utter failure for]Russian President Vladimir ] Putin”, Harris said. It is in our best interest to preserve global standards.
At the occasion, Harris even commented on the plan Putin put forth.
” Yesterday, Putin put forward a proposal” , , she said.  ,” But we must talk fact: He is no calling for discussions, he is calling for surrender”.
In April, the House passed , The , Ukraine , Security Supplemental Appropriations Act , which appropriated ,$ 60.84 billion  , in the war against Russia that is going on three years. At the G7 Summit earlier this year, Zelenensky even met with President Joe Biden.

Ukrainian , President , Volodymyr Zelensky , announced three weeks ago that he still has” fight power” of the , Kharkiv region , despite , Russian forces invading , earlier this year. Kharkiv is , Ukraine’s subsequent- largest city. After troops entered the village of Vovchansk, which is about 12 miles away, about 11, 000 people reportedly evacuated the frontier closest to Russia into Kharkiv.
Russia continues to maintain control of , Ukraine ‘s , Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhya, and Kherson regions, even going as far as , hosting elections , that earlier this year, where Russian President Vladimir Putin was reelected.
