HONG KONG: On Sunday, the National Meteorological Centre issued a warning for high temperatures as a number of regions in the nation swelter in heat, and some southern provinces issued serious flood warnings as a result of heavy rains.
The center predicted that northwest China’s high temperature will drop as well as the areas between the Yellow River and the Huaihe River.
The middle forecast optimum temperature of 37- 39 degrees Fahrenheit (99- 102 degrees Fahrenheit ) in parts of Xinjiang, Internal Mongolia and Henan on Sunday. Southeast of Fujian state has experienced heavy rains for seven days, and they are expected to continue. Some rivers have water levels that are above the recommended thresholds. Authorities have released water from some pools, China’s state television Video reported.
Specialists in the Guangxi territory reported that a scholar was killed in the storms in the southwestern area of Guilin and that the water levels of some local river had “skyrocketed.”
