Republicans are accusing President Biden of trying to influence the 2024 poll by allowing illegal spouses and children of Americans to apply for permanent residency. Some say this will lead to more Democratic electors before November, making the claim that it will be politically motivated.
Previous President Trump, who said he would change the Trump attempt if elected, said that Biden was really “using” the workers.
Trump said during a rally in Wisconsin on Tuesday day,” but he’s going to let everyone in because you know what they’re trying to accomplish, they’re trying to mark these people up and file them,” according to Trump.
The sarcastic comment to the pleasure action , announced Tuesday, which would use to an estimated 550, 000 people, has plenty of mistakes.  ,
The purchase simplifies the process of applying for continuous residency from abroad, which may include applying for work visas, and reduces the need for some immigrants to leave the country to apply for permanent residency from abroad, which may take years-long waiting periods.
However, it does not bring in hundreds of thousands of new people, and it would undoubtedly not add to the voter rolls before the 2024 election.
The GOP’s opposition to the Biden activity is fundamentally driven by the fear of an influx of Democratic electors now or in the future.
In a statement earlier this morning, Biden “gives large amnesty and membership to hundreds of thousands of laborers who he knows will eventually voting for him and the Open Border Democrat Party,” according to national press director for the Trump campaign Karoline Leavitt.
” That’s their game plan. Get as many registered to vote as they can”, said Sen. Tommy Tuberville ( R- Ala. ). ” They do n’t care about citizens, they do n’t care about these people. They’re only looking for citizens, and they’re trying]to] do as much as they can before the next election because they’re seeing the reading on the wall”.
In response to Tuberville’s reply, one House Democrat made a remark about the reportedly slow velocity of the national immigration government.
” If single USCIS worked this hard”, said Rep. Greg Casar ( D- Texas ), referring to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, the company that processes immigration programs.
The purchase also serves as confirmation of Republicans ‘ disapproval of his handling of border and immigration policy, according to Republicans on Capitol Hill who earlier this year rejected a Biden-backed border settlement program.
In response to the executive order Obama passed earlier this month, which was intended to stop border crossings and prevent migrants from seeking asylum on the front lines during times when there are many everyday encounters. In a missed border act bargain earlier this year, republican had mostly rejected a comparable measure.
Speaker Mike Johnson ( R- La. ) Biden allegedly is” trying to play both edges” with the set of administrative actions.
The President may believe that his country security is some sort of political game, but Americans are aware that this asylum plan will only encourage more illegal immigration and put Americans at risk, according to Johnson in a statement.
Johnson, also, said Biden’s activity “is proof- good of the Democrats ‘ plan to turn improper aliens into voters”, and that he expects it to be challenged in court and struck over.
Biden said the relief action was not a political move during an event announcing the new measure and observing the 12-year anniversary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals ( DACA ) program on Tuesday.
” Folks, I’m not interested in playing politics on the border or immigration. I want to make it right. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again today, I will work with anyone to solve these problems. That’s my responsibility as president. That’s our responsibility as Americans”, Biden said.
Additionally, the White House has emphasized that only a certain population is eligible for the relief action.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre remarked about Biden’s relief action in a press conference on Tuesday.” The eligible population is limited.  ,
” Individuals who arrive now are not eligible — so we did try to give this a scope, if you will”, Jean- Pierre said.
Although Republicans frequently referred to the Biden order as a political calculation, some people made a distinction between exactly what kind of voters would be affected by it in the upcoming election. Rep. Josh Brecheen ( R- Okla. ) said , in a post on the social platform X that Biden’s action was” an effort to appease their family members hoping to garnish their votes for the upcoming election”.
The direct beneficiaries of Biden’s new plan will all be unable to vote in the 2024 election, though their U. S. citizen spouses will.
Even in the most unlikely case, undocumented beneficiaries who apply for permanent residency immediately under the new policy would have a far greater chance of winning.
Couples of U.S. citizens must wait at least ten months before receiving their green card, and they must then remain married for three years before applying for naturalization, which takes on average eight months from the time of application.
Accounting for a 90- day early naturalization allowance, that means the quickest a beneficiary would become a U. S. citizen is about 50 months — and the 2028 election is 52 months and 20 days away.
One Republican who has pushed for immigration reform omitted the deceptive claims made by new voters in their response to Biden’s order, but nonetheless concluded that it was a political move.
” President Biden’s latest Executive Order on immigration is a blatantly political move, of questionable constitutionality, in an election year”, Rep. Mario Díaz- Balart ( R- Fla. ) said in a statement.
The current chaos at our southern border will not be attained by these executive orders, which are counterproductive. ]Department of Homeland Security ] personnel are overwhelmed, and Border Patrol agents can barely keep up with the influx of people, including dangerous individuals, crossing into our country”.
Sen. John Cornyn ( R- Texas ) argued that the Biden order contributes to policies that incentivize illegal migration.
” People realize that if you make it here, President Biden’s going to let you stay, and you’ll be able to get on a pathway to citizenship”, Cornyn said. ” That’s been a huge magnet, and it’s going to attract even more people” . ,
