
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu argued that the United States may continue to provide weapons to Hamas and that President Joe Biden is “fighting for its living.”
Netanyahu claimed in a video statement released in English that he told U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken that he appreciates Washington’s assistance but that it’s “inconceivable” any arms or weapons had been withheld in the last few months during his trip to Israel last year.
” During World War II, Churchill told the United States: ‘ give us the instruments, we’ll do the job,'” Netanyahu said. ” And I say, give us the instruments and we’ll finish the job a lot faster.'”
The U.S. is extremely critical of Israel’s unpleasant in the Gaza Strip, which the U.S. designated a criminal organization after it killed over 1,200 Israelis and kidnapped more than 250 on October 7, triggering the continued conflict. More than 37, 000 Palestinians have been killed, according to the Hamas- run Gaza wellness department.
In response to the country’s recent protests, Biden withheld one package of 2, 000-pound bombs. He also declared last month that he would end further shipments of offensive weapons if Rafah is invaded by the country. In what the martial called a confined and accurate set of businesses, Israeli tanks were reported to had reached the center of the town on May 28.
Netanyahu did n’t specify if more weapons or ammunition had been withheld from the U. S., Israel’s biggest arms supplier.
The White House, State Department and Netanyahu’s office did n’t immediately respond to separate requests for comment.
The Jewish president continued, Blinken assured him that the administration is “working day and night” to fix any bottlenecks.
Following pressure from the White House and pro-Israel activists, two important Democratic holdouts in the House and Senate approved a big arms sales to Israel, including 50 F-15 fighter jet worth more than$ 18 billion, according to a report released on Tuesday by the Washington Post.
In the middle of July, Netanyahu is scheduled to handle the U.S. Congress.
