Shelters in Juarez are running out of food and products as visitors stay at the boundary longer than expected.
The Rev. At Great Samaritan, the state’s second-largest church-run protection, Juan Fierro has witnessed a rise in the migrant population of more than 50 % in the past two months. ” We went from 40 individuals one day to 70 the next. The more persons you have, the more food you need, the more services are used”, he said.  ,
When Border Patrol routine encounters exceed 2,500 in a year, the White House threatens to close the border to asylum applicants who cross between ports of entry. Additionally, it comes as Mexico continues to halt its move from cargo trains carrying people border-crossing and as Juarez’s government stifle big gatherings at the Rio Grande.
,” We believe we will see a noticeable increase in the coming time here and at different areas, so we should be prepared. Our biggest want is foods”, Fierro said. The people who come next do n’t go to the river, they say. They may stay in a house. They are aware that the application process is the only current approach to enter the United States officially. They will use the app to search for shelter, relax, and start applying.
He made reference to the Biden administration’s website hospital appointment system, which was accessible via the CBP One application.
A few workers who were interviewed this year along the Rio Grande, in a Downtown house, and at Good Samaritan said it is more difficult than they had anticipated to enter the country once in Juarez. Some people are concerned about being immediately deported if they simply show up at the boundary wall. If they choose to employ a criminal, individuals are concerned about dying in triple-digit temperatures.
” The purpose of the immigrant is to get across improperly, to be honest. But we have a position, we have seen many issues: People dying in the desert. You become frightened. You seek the ( CBP One ) appointment”, said Fidelina Bardal, a mother of two from Honduras.
More than 80 workers have died from heating- related reasons, falls and drownings since Oct. 1 in Far West Texas and Southern New Mexico. This year, Juarez authorities found the body of a Mexican immigrant who had reportedly been abandoned by pirates in the desert north of Santa Teresa, New Mexico.
The administration established an online interview system last year to stop prison seekers from quickly removing border agents from their police duties and overcrowding U.S. Customs and Border Protection processing centers. Federal officials have occasionally been forced to release immigrants from borders places in Texas, Arizona, and California as a result of that congestion.
Despite having its ups and downs, Bardal and Monica E. from Guerrero, Mexico, now have the single solution.
” Since the changes made by the president ( Biden ), we know they are deporting Venezuelans, Colombians, Hondurans, Guatemalans and even Mexicans. ]… ] I decided to wait for my CBP One ( appointment )”, said Monica. She fled her home in Chilpancingo, Guerrero, after her family was unable to comply with a drug cartel “tax” of 3, 000 pesos ($ 167 ) per week.
Bardal said she fled Colon, Honduras, after crew members murdered her brother for being queer and targeted her young daughter for theft.
Reynaldo Aguirre discussed how CBP One has become the only solution for asylum while talking about how his Hispanic immigration force was displayed in Downtown Juarez.
” I’m doing this legally to see if I may mix legally. The problem is it is a pretty slow approach”, he said. He is hoping to obtain hospital in the United States because he has been targeted by pro-government activists because of his political opinions.
The Rev. Francisco Bueno, chairman of Casa del Migrante, the state’s largest church- work shelter, said it’s real more migrants are seeking shelter, but it’s not a big surge.
” We have seen significantly less arrivals than what we have seen in the past,” said the newcomer. It is a little more controlled condition”, Bueno told Border Report. ” They are waiting to see in which direction these changes ( by the government ) will go next”.
A Juarez standard who was aware of the migrant position on Thursday told Border Report that a” state of flux” is the best way to describe what is happening in the area since Biden threatened to close the border to asylum applicants.
According to the standard, it is more of a wait-and-see approach than a general admission that workers are switching to CBP One or making smugglers.
