True Tolerance Demands An End To The Persecution Of Jack Phillips

Colorado cake designer Jack Phillips has been denied fairness for far too much if justice is delayed is denied justice. Twelve times very much.

On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, the Colorado Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Scardina. The question is whether the state of Colorado can compel Phillips to create a custom-designed cake that is red on the inside and blue on the outside to honor and represent an impossible “gender changeover” from male to female.

Because this is Phillips ‘ next attempt to defend his First Amendment right in the American criminal program, the case is also known as Masterpiece III. A transgender-identifying activist named Autumn Scardina called Phillips ‘ store and requested that he make the custom pink-and-blue cake the day the U.S. Supreme Court made its announcement that it would hear his first case. Phillips graciously declined because he believes that God created both men and women. Scardina was prompted by this to file a lawsuit against Phillips in civil court ( Masterpiece III ).

Jack Phillips serves all persons. He will happily sell something in his store to people, even those who identify as LGBT.

However, he wo n’t spread lies that are contrary to his fundamental beliefs. In response to that, he has also refrained from making practice cakes to celebrate Halloween or those that support the use of marijuana. He also declined to make cakes that disparage people, even those who identify as LGBT.

But that has n’t stopped some, including Scardina, from disparaging and persecuting Phillips. Scardina has called Phillips a “bigot” and a “hypocrite”— but he is either. As a Christian, Phillips opposes earnings and social correctness over his beliefs and beliefs. He chooses the small wall, not the large one. Why, then, did Scardina refer to Phillips ‘ shop as the only one of the hundreds of other businesses in the Denver area? And why did he call Phillips the day the Supreme Court of the United States announced its second hearing?

His ideological opponents are attempting to make controversial cakes for Jack Phillips because they know he ca n’t do it. Scardina actually requested Phillips make a customized cake with the image of Satan smoking marijuana in order to “test” him and correct his thinking errors.

Phillips ‘ adversaries have consciously gone after him to ruin his life, kill his employment, and run him out of business. The left often accuses Believers of being judgmental. However, the evidence clearly demonstrates that the bullies who are pursuing Phillips are the hateful ones who are determined to bring charges against their prejudiced crusade.

You’d think that Masterpiece III would be an open-and-close event in Phillips ‘ pursuit with a history like the one described above. But you’d be bad. Phillips has now lost at both the demo court amount and the Colorado Court of Appeals, which&nbsp, ruled&nbsp, 3- 0 against him on Jan. 26, 2023. Everything is certain, but it’s more likely than not that the Colorado Supreme Court’s final decision will be more of the same.

During oral claims on Tuesday, many of” the magistrates used feminine pronouns to speak to Scardina”, who is a person. Additionally, Democratic governors appointed all seven magistrates. If Phillips drop again at the Colorado Supreme Court, he’ll probably need to appeal — once again — to the U. S. Supreme Court. He refuses to grotto.

Sadly, the current Supreme Court has ruled frequently in favor of complimentary speech. In 303 Creative v. Elenis, the court ruled in favor of Christian graphic designer and web designer Lori Smith, shielding her from a Colorado legislation that would have forced her to use her artistic skills to convey information that violate her ideas about marriage. If the need arises, we can hope the U. S. Supreme Court will rule in Phillips ‘ favor once again.

Attorney Jake Warner of Phillips ‘ case argued in his final argument before the Colorado Supreme Court on Tuesday that” for over a decade, in lawsuit after lawsuit, Phillips has fought for the right of every American to express their beliefs without fear of punishment from the government.

” This freedom protects the LGBT artist as much as the Christian”, Warner added. ” It protects us all. To preserve this freedom, the harassment must stop. This court should reverse”.

Indeed, it should. Until a decision is reached, Christians, conservatives, and all people of goodwill should rally around Jack Phillips and support him. You can&nbsp, visit his shop&nbsp, in Lakewood, Colorado, or&nbsp, visit his online store.
