Joe Biden named Maine Superior Court Judge Julia Lipez as the first-court nominee for the US Supreme Court. Because of her track record, I believe she was n’t nominated because she just reduced Michael Smith’s sentence to two young girls, four and nine, by half just last year.
Judge Lipez suspended quarter of Smith’s 12-year jail sentence, according to the Lewiston Sun-Journal, and remarked during the punishment that Smith is” a person who has a lot of great in him.”
Sen. John Kennedy masterfully called her out on Thursday.
” Mr. Smith molested a 4- season- old woman, did n’t he”? Kennedy asked her.

Lipez tried to deflect by pointing out, suddenly, that she sentenced Smith in accordance with the country’s advice, but Kennedy was n’t letting her get ahead with avoiding the question.

How does Joe Biden manage to avoid asking individuals like this to the chair of the federal government? It’s because his party wo n’t stop him. Heck, Maine Sen. Angus King, a Democrat who is registered as an Independent, said of Lipez that he’s “never seen a stronger prospect for a criminal place”.
