Climate activists ‘ alteration of Hungarian landmarks by Google removed from its maps service on Saturday to highlight the potential effects of climate change. The images, which were altered using artificial intelligence, depicted the dried up Alpine mountains and the Danube’s rivers as they were taken in the year 2070. They were put on Google Maps this week by the Letzte Generation ( Last Generation ) group. A Google spokesman said that “our policies plainly prohibit material that is not based on real practice.”
