According to British security firm Ambrey and the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Organization ( UKMTO ) on Sunday, a drone attack damaged a merchant vessel 65 nautical miles west of Yemen’s Hodeidah.
In a word issued by UKMTO, all team members are reported healthy and the vessel is moving on to its next stop.
Ambrey referred to the ship as a” Liberia-flagged fully mobile box ship” in a separate note without naming it. It said no injuries were reported.
In a show of support for Palestinians in Israel’s conflict with Hamas extremists in Gaza, Yemen’s violent Houthi party has launched drone and missile strikes in shipping lanes since November. In these businesses, the Houthis have sunk two arteries, seized another, and killed at least three sailors.
The Houthi team’s deeds have targeted sea roads, escalating conflicts in international waters. Difficulty numbers of drone- and missile-related problems are included in the team’s attacks.
” We are acting in cooperation with the Palestinians”, a spokeswoman for the Houthi party stated.
The Houthis also managed to acquire one more ship, besides the two that were sinking. At least three sailors have lost their lives as a result of these problems. The stability of the sea sector is in danger as a result of the continuous strikes.
Houthis previously claimed to have launched a combined military activity targeting four boats in Israel’s north Haifa port in cooperation with the violent party Islamic Resistance in Iraq.
This strike, which took place on Saturday, aimed at two concrete tankers and two cargo ships, was executed using robots, Reuters reported.
Yahya Saree, a spokesman for the Houthi government, gave more details about the procedure in a televised declaration early on Sunday.
Saree noted that the boats belonged to businesses that “violated the restrictions on entering the dominated Palestine’s ships.”
