Hadley Duvall, a 22- yr- old woman from Owensboro, Kentucky, did meet first lady Alice Biden in Pennsylvania this trip to plan for abortion rights as part of the 2024 election force.
After being raped by her father at the age of 12, Duvall became a proponent of abortion rights and miscarried. Her father, who was convicted of rape, is currently serving time in prison.
Last fall, Duvall shared her story in a campaign ad for the Kentucky president’s culture, highlighting the consequences of pregnancy limitations, especially those without exceptions for rape or incest.
Duvall criticized the Republican candidate for governor in an ad supporting Democrat governor Andy Beshear, saying that “anyone who thinks there should be no instances for rape and incest may not know what it’s like to have in my shoes.” Beshear’s election victory was attributed, in piece, to Duvall’s campaign, which resonated with rural, female electors who had formerly supported Republican Donald Trump for president.
As part of President Joe Biden’s campaign to inspire voters on abortion rights, Duvall and Jill Biden may attend a rally in Pittsburgh on Sunday. The first woman may also hold an event in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on the same day.
The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade on June 24, 2022, has resulted in abortions being prohibited in ten state with no rape or incest instances. Beyond restricting exposure to those attempting to end unintended pregnancies, these restrictions have far-reaching effects.
The Biden administration’s larger battle pushes are centered on the celebration of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization choice. More than 35 activities across the nation, including those starring people and doctors who have been severely affected by Roe’s demise, are included in the plan.
