Following a power outage earlier in the day that caused widespread disruption at Stations 1 and 2 and caused widespread disturbance at Manchester Airport, the airport announced that flights were resumed and scheduled to resume on Sunday afternoon and evening.
Manchester Airport stated in a speech that it was working with carriers to postpone delayed flights in the coming weeks, adding that airlines scheduled for Monday would remain intact.
According to a previous post on social media platform X, passengers scheduled to depart from Terminal 3 should arrive at the airport as usual, unless their airline advises then, but delays may result.
The incident was first reported by Sky News, who claimed the airports and a number of other houses had been impacted by a power supply issue. Services may become impacted throughout the day, the statement continued. However, energy has been restored.
