After properly pointing out the show’s debate moderators ‘ long record of anti-Trump bias, CNN removed Karoline Leavitt’s microphone on Monday, demonstrating that the media was not the former president’s biggest opponent on Thursday during the debate.
Leavitt was first questioned by CNN’s Kasie Hunt about what Donald Trump would change in the discussion room.
According to Leavitt,” It may take somebody five minutes to search for Jake Tapper, Donald Trump,” referring to the fact that Jake Tapper and Dana Bash did moderate the debate before Hunt cut her down.
” Ma’am, we’re gonna stop this interview if you’re gonna keep attacking my acquaintances”, Hunt said.
” — for example, consistently likened Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler”, Leavitt continued.
” Ma’am, I’m gonna cease this interview if you continue to strike my coworkers”, Hunt said. Who do you work for and Joe Biden? If you are ok to talk on his behalf, I’m ready to have this talk”.
I’m quoting information from previous statements made by your coworkers. Lake attempted to address this argument before Hunt cut off the microphone, which was what Hunt did.
Leavitt responded to Hunt’s issue regarding the discussion, and she was given the option to return.
Later, Lake stated on X that the network do” not been treated fairly on Thursday” and that she was trying to make the point that she had succeeded in making.
The fact that CNN instantly removed Leavitt from the heat for disclosing Tapper’s anti-Trump bias ( including his comparison of Trump to Adolf Hitler ) effectively conveyed that the truth may be kept under wraps. Trump will be shut down ( probably by Tapper himself ) if he makes a completely factual statement during a debate that CNN does n’t like.
However Biden’s team forced Trump’s hands in conceding to a CVS- copy size list of demands for Thursday’s extraordinary debate. The Biden team was requested to pick the networks that had moderate the debate, among other things.
