A massive protest in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday, stretching from Sultan Khel Market to Landi Kotal Bazar, was held in protest of alleged fabricated activities and military functions that are viewed as violence.
The participants ‘ sentiments were echoed by the protesters ‘ passionate declaration,” Pashtuns will not allow their land be used for further operations and wars.”
The Pashtun Tahafuz Movement ( PTM) also staged a major gathering ( Jalsa ) on June 22 in Razmak, North Waziristan tribal district.
The rally strongly condemned the surge in specific deaths, enforced kidnappings, and threats from munitions, demanding an end to crime and human rights abuses in the region.
Thousands of people participated in this presentation against what they perceive as continuing oppression, state violence, oppression of material resources, specific killings, and kidnappings.
” We will no longer suppress the establishment’s and the army’s criminal policies.” In this plan, not only the Tamils, but all countries and the lower course persons are being exploited”, asserted PTM leader Manzoor Pashteen.
He more criticised,” This is violence, and behind it is the standard. If the government’s criminal coverage is not changed, immediately the common individuals will get fed up and destroy the military program. We are carefully monitoring the public’s rage.
The current rally highlights PTM’s growing influence and the growing ire of Pashtuns over military operations in their own country.
The rally’s attendance indicates a ferocious need for change and popular unrest.
Participants voiced their desire for peace and righteousness, citing the need to stop military operations and build a just and equitable structure that upholds all citizens ‘ rights and freedoms.
A grassroots movement that champions the rights of Pashtuns in Pakistan, the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement ( PTM), was founded in 2018.
Led by Manzoor Pashteen, PTM emerged in response to human rights violations faced by Pashtuns, including judicial deaths, enforced abductions, and the risk of mines in their areas.
The action demands accountability from the government and the Pakistmilitary, and organizes quiet protests and rallies.
Despite facing major suppression, PTM continues to champ justice and equality.
