    200,000 cross border into California daily, groups says

    About 200, 000 people pass through California’s ports of entry each day, according to figures released by the San Diego-based Smart Border Coalition in the first four months of 2024.

    In addition to the number, pedestrians and travellers heading northeast into California are included.

    Nearly 13 million people entered the United States in cars with another 4.6 million on foot, according to the party, which aims to improve go through the San Diego- Tijuana binational region’s ports of entry.

    Additionally, it is reported that 40 % of frontier commuters entering the United States had World Entry or Sentri position during the first four months of the year, indicating that CBP officers have pre-screened and verified them to enter the country quickly and thoroughly.
