According to the Attorney General’s office, a former NYPD official admitted to murder and attempted murder after killing the person her ex-girlfriend was dating.
Yvonne Wu , killed and wounded , her father, Jenny Li, 23, and killed Jamie Liang, 24, in a hail of bullets from her NYPD service weapons on Oct. 13, 2021, in Li’s Brooklyn room.
Wu, 34, of Staten Island, entered the innocent appeal Thursday before Judge Danny Chun in Brooklyn Supreme Court. Her punishment is set for Aug. 28. Wu’s security attorney, Lawrence Fredella, did not reply to an email from the Daily News.
The state attorney general’s office was charged with the situation under a 2015 professional order that authorizes the company to serve as a special prosecutor when a police officer commits a fatal accident on a human.
Wu is still being held without bail at Rikers Island’s Rose M. Singer Center. The prosecution and defense both suggested that the attempted murder charge and the murder charge should go to jail for a total of 22 times.
The Li and Liang families , have sued the city , for$ 25 million alleging the NYPD was conscious Wu was emotionally disturbed but allowed her to preserve her company tool prior to the killings.

Wu was off-duty on October 13, 2021, when she broke into Li’s Bensonhurst house through an secured back door and fired six rounds from her police-issued Glock 19 when Li and Liang returned home.
Liang died at Maimonides Hospital. After being struck in the stomach, Li’s breathing and arteries were struck in a round.
