Upstate NY man arrested for threat to President Biden: ‘Gonna put a bullet in your head’

An Upstate New York person has been arrested for allegedly threatening to kill President&nbsp, Joe Biden.

Troy Kelly, 19, of&nbsp, Crown Point, N. Y., was arrested Tuesday and charged via legal problem with making threats against the President of&nbsp, the United States. He appeared in&nbsp, Albany&nbsp, judge before&nbsp, U. S. &nbsp, Magistrate Judge&nbsp, Christian F. Hummel, and was detained pending a complete detention reading scheduled for&nbsp, Friday, June 28.

According to the criminal complaint, Kelly allegedly responded to Biden’s alleged response to a social media post on X ( previously known as Twitter ) with the statement” Gonna put a bullet in your head if I ever catch you.”

Kelly was the good customer of the accounts that posted the danger, according to an investigation by the Secret Service, which conducted an interview with him at his house. Kelly confirmed during the interview that he had posted the risk and that he also wanted to kill the president.

” If I had, I do”, Kelly told the&nbsp, Secret Service&nbsp, broker, according to the problem.

Kelly was accused of one count of making risks against the United States, the senator of&nbsp. He could receive a maximum sentence of 5 years in prison, a fine of up to$ 250, 000, and a term of supervised release following any sentence that would have been up to three years.

Kelly’s imprisonment was announced Wednesday by&nbsp, U. S. &nbsp, Attorney&nbsp, Carla B. Freedman, &nbsp, Lewis Robinson, Special Agent in Charge of the&nbsp, Buffalo Field Office of United States Secret Service, &nbsp, Matthew Scarpino, Special Agent in Charge of the&nbsp, Buffalo Field Office of Homeland Security Investigations, and&nbsp, Steven James, Superintendent of the&nbsp, New York State Police.

The&nbsp, U. S. &nbsp, Secret Service, Homeland Security Investigations, and the&nbsp, New York State Police&nbsp, are investigating the case, which is being prosecuted by Assistant&nbsp, U. S. &nbsp, Attorney&nbsp, Joseph S. Hartunian.

Crown Point&nbsp, is located in&nbsp, Essex County, about 100 kilometers northwest of&nbsp, Albany.
