After spending more than 40 decades on death row, an&nbsp, Oklahoma&nbsp, person convicted of theft, raping and murdering a 7- yr- ancient girl&nbsp, was executed&nbsp, on Thursday.

Richard Rojem Jr. was given a three- drug destructive shot at the&nbsp, Oklahoma State Penitentiary&nbsp, in&nbsp, McAlester&nbsp, and was declared deceased at&nbsp, 10: 16 a. m., prison authorities confirmed. He’d been the longest serving criminal on Oklahoma’s dying column.

” I’ve said my farewell”, Rojem uttered in his last times, declining to offer any additional next words.

Rojem&nbsp, was convicted&nbsp, in 1985 of raping and fatally stabbing his original daughter, &nbsp, Layla Dawn Cummings. She was abducted from an apartment in&nbsp, Elk City &nbsp, on&nbsp, July 6, 1984, after her mother, &nbsp, Mindy Cummings, left to work a late shift at a local fast food joint.

The girl’s victimized and partly clothed body was found the next day in a niche in western&nbsp, Oklahoma&nbsp, near the town of&nbsp, Burns Flat, some 15 yards from where she lived.

Two weeks after Cummings ‘ marriage with Rojem, who was previously convicted of raping two young women in&nbsp, Michigan, came the tragic event.

Prosecutors claimed that because Layla reported him to him for sexually abusing her, he was furious with her, which led to his separation from her mother and his return to prison for offense violation.

In a recent speech to the parole board, Cummings said,” For many years, the shock of losing her and the understanding of the sheer terror, pain, and suffering that she endured at the hands of this heartless monster were more than I could understand how to live day to day.”

Rojem, however has long denied shooting Layla.

” I was n’t a good human being for the first part of my life, and I do n’t deny that”, Rojem told the state’s Pardon and Parole Board via video link from prison. ” But I went to jail. I figured out my lessons, and I put everything behind.

The committee earlier this month denied his mercy plea, paving the way for his execution.

It was the nation’s following in as many times. On Wednesday, &nbsp, Ramiro Gonzales, a&nbsp, Texas &nbsp, gentleman who admitted he kidnapped, sexually assaulted and tragically shot an 18- yr- old lady in 2001 was executed Wednesday night.
