Joe Biden’s frequent lying during the Thursday night political conversation was not surprising. The rest that Biden has been leaning on for four years, specifically, was the one that I was aware of, and that Trump did n’t like to explore the Aisne- Marne American Cemetery near Paris in 2018 because the soldiers it who lost in battle were “losers” and” fools.”

The Atlantic’s editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg also acknowledged that the article may have been inaccurate and that successive reports that the visit to the graveyard was canceled due to weather were likely to be true after the article was first published. In fact, temperature studies confirmed that Trump’s visit to the tomb was, however, canceled due to weather.
But, just because a story is debunked for years does n’t mean Joe Biden wo n’t keep repeating it, and he, of course, did so during the debate.  ,
” I spoke to all about those soldiers who died while I was just in France for D-Day, and I spoke to them. He refused to go to the World War II graveyard, which I went to. He was standing with his four- star general, and he told him – he said, I do n’t want to go in there because they’re a bunch of losers and suckers”, Biden claimed. ” My brother was certainly a fool. He was never a junkie. You’re the junkie. You’re the villain”.
Trump responded by pointing out that the offer was fabricated. In reality, John Bolton, one of the no-French people who met with President Trump on that trip to Paris, was one of the witnesses who went on record to refute the claims.
However, Biden continued to push the false narrative.
” You had a four- star public walk at your side, who was on your team, who said you said it, time”, Biden claimed.
Biden is referring to retired four- star standard John Kelly, who initially served as Trump’s Homeland Security Secretary, before becoming Trump’s chief of staff. The main issue with Biden’s assertion is that Kelly not supported any of the assertions made in the article. In fact, no one has officially confirmed the allegations against Trump despite bipartisan requests for private sources to come forward.

Here’s exactly how CNN’s Tapper reported Kelly’s reported” corroboration”:
What else can I add that has n’t already been said? Kelly said when asked if he wanted to comment on another former Trump representatives ‘ latest remarks. ” A person who believes that those who’suck ‘ their country in uniform, are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all” suckers” because” there is nothing in it for them” is a person. A person who said it did n’t look good for me because they did n’t want to be seen in the company of military amputees. A person who rants that our most priceless soldiers who gave their lives in the defense of America are “losers” and would n’t visit their graves in France during the 2016 campaign and publicly contempts a Gold Star family – for all Gold Star people.
But there’s more proof that Kelly did n’t confirm the story. Remember, The Atlantic’s hit piece also claimed Trump asked John Kelly at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day 2017,” I do n’t get it. What was in it for them” ? ,
Kelly served in the Trump presidency from  , January 20, 2017, to January 2, 2019. Is there any evidence that Kelly, who lost her son in Afghanistan, may have remained in the military if he had witnessed Trump making such statements in 2017 and 2018?  ,
The obvious answer is that he would n’t. In fact, John Bolton, who is n’t a fan of Trump, even claimed that John Kelly was the one who had advised Trump not to leave.

” I did n’t hear either of those remarks or anything that resembled them. Bolton told Fox News in September 2020 that he was present when it was decided that he would not attend the Aisne-Marne cemetery. ” He decided never to do it because of John Kelly’s advice. I thought it was the right thing to do because it was wholly weather-related.
