As diplomats work to stop tensions between Israel and the Syrian military Hezbollah, which is supported by Tehran, from escalating into an “obliterating battle” if Israel launches a full-scale assault in Lebanon.
In a blog on X, Iran’s vision to the United Nations said” all choices”, including the presence of Iran- supported armed groups across West Asia, “are on the table”. Chief among those parties is Hezbollah, a strong military in Lebanon. Iran also defended Iranian claims that Israeli incursions into Lebanon would constitute “psychological war.”
Rivals for years, Israel and Hezbollah have generally exchanged flames along Israel’s northern borders. Since Gaza battle began next Oct, the mix- border attacks have intensified. Hezbollah’s forces would be forced to retreat from the border region if Israel did n’t, according to Israeli representatives, who have been warning Israel for decades. Additionally, Hezbollah has threatened to invade Israel.
US, Europe warn Hezbollah to alleviate attacks on Israel
Hezbollah, which is far stronger than Hamas but is seen as confident, is being warned by US and European officials about joining Israel’s military can. They warn the class against relying on Israel to launch an offensive into Lebanon on the strength of the US or anyone else.
UN humanitarian commander Martin Griffiths used the term “apocalyptic” to identify a conflict that could result. An estimated 150 000 missiles and missiles are in the hands of Hezbollah, making it possible to strike somewhere in Israel. Israel, however, has pledged to destroy Gaza- like moments of disaster on Lebanon.
