Pride Month Recap: What, Exactly, Are You Proud Of?

Another Pride Month has passed. I’ll say that it was less sluggish than it has been recently. The celebrations were certainly thwarted by the threat of Israeli neo-Nazi homophobes who threw Gazan gays off houses ( more on that later ). However, I’m old enough to recall the days when Pride was all just a festival in the major cities. Then it turned into a moment. Then a month. Today it’s a quarter. Now it’s in institutions, department stores, fast food chains, and libraries perusing rooms. And if you think it’s all going only a tad&nbsp, over, you’re worse than Hitler.

One could pardon aliens for thinking that gays in fashionable America must be the most oppressed class in human history, so there is a need for an ever-increasing screen of awareness and recognition. But an unlucky and wholly predictable, trend has occurred in the decades since Obergefell&nbsp, and the development of lesbians in the military. The downtrodden have gleefully taken on their own oppression. To sum up Pride’s final ten years roughly:

Christian businessman Jack Phillips has been facing legal issues since 2012 after politely declining to bake a cake for a lesbian wedding because of his spiritual beliefs. Despite having won his situation in the Supreme Court on procedural premises, he continued to receive calls from LGBTQ campaigners for vulgar cakes, which they had already declared he would not cook. They then filed a lawsuit and re-filed, intending to wreak havoc with him and his company, all because he has a different perspective than they do regarding what constitutes a relationship.

The purpose of Pride is, according to what we are told, to accept queer people for who they are. However, organizers have recently superimposed rainbow flags on Arab flags during Pride parades. At another Pride marches, organizers have banned homosexual police officers from moving. And, strangely, administrators have removed homosexuals from Pride rallies for the boldness of being attracted exclusively to women who are… waited for it… biological females. So much for accepting persons for who they are.

Drag kings and bring shows purposefully target children. Some of these carry kings have turned out to be actual sexual offenders. But even if they were n’t, nothing, neither queer nor right, has made a compelling argument as to why drag kings or bring shows are ideal for kids. Drag shows simply use armed Antifa brownshirts to protect their exhibitions from child predation rather than make such an argument.

Whatever motivations were put forth for the original LGBTQ movement, it no longer belongs to mature, gay adults who want to keep the government out of their bedrooms. Every sexual and gender identity group created as a result of fevered imaginations has taken control of it. The nuclear family’s precise and deliberate destruction is not the intention, but rather some abstract societal acceptance of sexuality. In order to achieve this, these groups have abused social media to persuade untold thousands of confused, depressed teenagers to irreversibly mutilate themselves.

You who were so brave to mock the few octogenarian protesters who once marched in your parades now quiver at the young Lia Thomases and Dylan Mulvaneys who have the authority to make you a part of society if you do n’t openly and publicly agree with their ever-arbitrary definitions of reality.

You who are so brave as to wear priests and nuns ‘ clothing to mock Christians would never consider doing this to Muslims whose compatriots are currently far worse than the most cruel Christians have ever been to gays at any point in their religion’s history. Your “pride” seems to be in inverse relationship to the reasonable expectation that its expression will cause violence. The less the threat from your “enemy”, the more “pride” you rub their faces in. It’s safe to make fun of gay nightclubs in Florida or hang you from cranes in Tehran because they do n’t shoot at them. &nbsp,

And you’ll also notice that the LGBTQ community does not have Gays and Queers for Palestine members. Nor will it ever. This convenience-centric alliance only works in one way.

Women’s sports face the challenge of mediocre male athletes who never would have blipped on anyone’s radar but are now shattering women’s records, stealing women’s scholarships, and breaking women’s bones. They are raping teenage girls in the dark corners of all- gender safe spaces. All of this is occurring under the LGBTQ umbrella. &nbsp,

Wait, what’s that you say? You never intended for pedophiles, rapists, misogynists, and little punk totalitarians to hijack the gay rights movement? Guess what? They did exactly that. &nbsp,

You can argue that these ne ‘er-do-wells have backed you with their own egotistical and perverse goals, which is what I would concur with you. However, the leadership of your movement has fully accepted them out of concern for social collapse or a sincere and dogmatic fanatical falsehood that the traditional nuclear family, free market capitalism, and Western civilization are existential threats that must be eradicated at all costs and that this justifies defending the worst excesses of misogynists and sexual predators. Why did they escape punishment? Because you let them. Because you were so focused on making it easy for the conceited Christians and conservatives who only wanted to “be themselves” and “celebrate who they are” to be left alone. And now, the same intolerance you professed is coming back to you from ideologues who have used you to further their own power, as they have done with so many other identity groups. They have never taken any care about your marriages, your rights, or your equality. Your usefulness for the cause is all but exhausted, like Boxer in” Animal Farm,” so head to the glue factory for you.

Obergefell was your emancipation. You ought to have won the election and left. However, by that point, your movement was already a racket too lucrative to leave. Worse, it had evolved into a means by which its more resentful supporters could exact revenge on actual or perceived enemies. This desire for vengeance comes from the vice of pride, which is naturally present.

When the slaves were freed, they did n’t turn around and try to enslave their former owners. When women gained the right to vote, they did n’t turn around and attempt to disenfranchise male voters. When King George III granted us freedom, our founding fathers did n’t attempt to conquer England. That’s because their movements were n’t built on pride. They were founded on the recognition of a fundamental human right, which is the opposite of pride.

Pride is a deceptive thing. Pride is not born of self- assured confidence, but of doubt, envy, fear, resentment, arrogance, narcissism, and hatred. It perfectly explains why a movement founded on pride would immediately begin acting in ways far more oppressive than anything its own supposed oppressors did when they achieved its stated goals. This post “liberation” reaction showed up in the French Jacobins, and the Leninists, the Stalinists, and the Maoists later perfected it. We are n’t there yet, but the pattern is unmistakable, as are the ideological underpinnings.

The Girondins lost their minds to their former Jacobin allies. Their former Bolshevik allies eventually executed the Mensheviks. And now that their former adversaries are no longer around, Western gay and lesbians are a part of the basket of appallings. This year, your former allies worked together to disrupt your Pride parades in New York, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Denver, and Boston and were successful in getting the Toronto parade canceled. How many newly elected Democrats rushed to your defense?

Maybe pride is n’t the best path forward. Perhaps your current situation would benefit from some more humility. And perhaps a political rebalancing is necessary based on who your enemies are now rather than who they were centuries ago.

The Leftists never desired anything more than to take advantage of you. The Islamists want to murder you. And now those two are best friends. That the LGBTQ movement’s ideologically blind lemmings still view inconspicuous Christian bakers and wedding photographers as the enemy is vain, evasive, and cowardly is.

And it’s nothing to be proud of.
