    At least 7 arrested in Germany and Sweden on suspicion of committing war crimes in Syria

    At least seven persons have been detained in Germany and Sweden on suspicion of crimes against humanity and war crimes committed in Syria between 2012 and 2014, according to specialists in the two nations on Wednesday. Four were detained in Germany and three in Sweden as part of a coordinated effort that also included the European Union’s administrative assistance company Eurojust, the EU authorities company Europol, and several other undisclosed European nations.
    The European federal prosecutor claimed that those detained in Germany were” highly suspected of killing and attempting to kill residents” Some of the people detained even had a history of abuse.
    The four detained in Germany are referred to as Jihad A, Mahmoud A, Sameer S, and Wael S, and have been working with the Syrian trained militia’s Free Palestine Movement since first 2011.
    According to private laws, European prosecutors did not disclose their last names. The three people Sweden had detained were never identified.
    According to Germany’s federal prosecutor, the army allegedly held control of Damascus ‘ predominantly Arab region of al-Yarmouk on behalf of the Syrian regime at the time, according to the federal prosecutor. Since July 2013, the Syrian regime had cordoned off the place entirely, resulting in a shortage of food, waters, and health products.
    All suspects supposedly took part in the violent assault of a relaxing anti-government demonstration in al-Yarmouk on July 13, 2012, particularly by shooting at civilian protesters, among other crimes.
    According to the European statement, six people died while others were seriously damaged.
    Germany’s national prosecutor claimed that some of them frequently and seriously exploited civilians from al-Yarmouk. The situations occurred between late- 2012 and 2014.
    In one instance, a person was apparently imprisoned and tortured by the Arab Military Intelligence Service. In another instance, a female was reportedly threatened with rape and forced to pay with her family’s jewels for the launch of her small son.
    Three of those arrested- Jihad A, Sameer S and Wael S- are asynchronous Arab Palestinians, while Mazhar J is a Palestinian nationwide.
    The four were arrested in Berlin, in Frankenthal and near Boizenburg, in southern and north Germany, both. The house of another believe, whose name was never given and who was not arrested, was searched in the northern city of Essen.
    They are scheduled to be presented with a Federal Court of Justice investigating judge who may review their arrest warrants and rule on pre-trial confinement. The trial will take place Monday and Tuesday, the lawyer’s declaration said.
    In Sweden, the Prosecution Authority gave no information regarding those arrested. According to the trial authority, it must be decided before noon on Saturday whether they should be detained or released.
