Rishi Sunak will take over as the next prime minister of the United Kingdom following a spectacular electoral victory, according to Keir Starmer, the party’s head.
Along with this new responsibility, Starmer and his wife, Victoria, may travel to the standard home of the UK prime minister, 10 Downing Street in London’s City of Westminster, from their existing £1.75m mansion in Kentish Town, situated within Starmer’s Holborn and St Pancras district.
Who is Victoria Starmer?
While little attention has been focused on Keir’s traditional win, less is known about his wife, Victoria, who maintained a fairly low profile during the election campaign. The pair, both doctors by training, married in 2007, a month before Starmer became Director of Public Prosecutions.
According to Starmer, their first meeting with labor was doubtful, as they were both told to Piers Morgan in 2021. He requested to speak with the attorney who had drafted the papers related to the case, which turned out to be Victoria, as a solicitor preparing for a court case. After inquiring about the accuracy of the documents, he overheard her saying,” Who the bleep does he think he is”? before she began to cry.
She and Starmer have been together ever since, and they have been up for months. ” Vic is wonderful, she is grounded, we share ideals and we joke up”, Starmer said.
Victoria, whose families are Jewish, now works in workplace wellness within the NHS. ” Half of the family are Hebrew, they’re either here or in Israel”, Starmer told The Guardian last month, emphasizing that he and his wife are “very willing” for their children to understand their identity.
The new prime minister has even discussed the concerns of his children regarding the future relocation to Downing Street. ” Full down they’re worried that this ( their lives ) may change, which is why we will fiercely defend their privacy”, he said.
