Dr. Kevin Cannard “regularly” visits the White House as part of its “general neuroscience training”, O’Connor said in the letter, which was a reaction to widespread speculation before Monday about the reason for Cannard’s numerous appearances in customer reports.
Prior to the pandemic, and after its conclusion, he conducted normal neuroscience facilities at the White House Medical Clinic in order to care for the hundreds of active duty personnel working in the White House’s activities, the White House physician wrote on Monday. We value the contributions he has made to the many patients he has treated over the years in support of the White House and its staff.
O’Connor did confirm that Cannard is the neurosurgeon who had examined Biden for his three annual presidential exams.
” His findings have been made public each time I have released the results of the president’s annual physical”, O’Connor wrote. Outside of his annual physical, President Biden has not seen a neurologist.

O’Connor’s letter was handed out to reporters by the White House following a briefing with press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre earlier in the day that was occasionally conflicting. Cannard’s name appears on public visitor logs, but during her briefing, Jean-Pierre declined to confirm that he had even been on campus, citing security and privacy concerns.
The first time Biden and former President Donald Trump appeared to have lost their way of thinking while standing with his mouth agape during their opening debate, Cannard was first exposed following their White House visits. His performance has sparked debate among elected Democrats about whether or not he should remain the party’s nominee for this cycle.
