In an op-ed for The New York Times on Wednesday, Hollywood actor George Clooney demanded that President Joe Biden withdraw from the 2024 presidential contest. Clooney’s op-ed comes just days after the Hollywood superstar raised millions of dollars for Biden’s plan.
” It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe ‘ great F-ing deal ‘ Biden of 2010″, Clooney wrote. ” He was n’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same person who we saw throughout the discussion.
Describing Biden’s conversation achievement, which has been widely criticized as a hazard for the Democratic Party, Clooney wrote,” Was he tired? Yes. A cool? Even. However, our party leaders must quit disclosing that 51 million people did not observe what we just witnessed. We’ve chosen to ignore every notice mark because we’re all but terrified by the idea of a second Trump name.
Clooney is one of a number of significant Democrat donors and Hollywood figures who have demanded that Biden withdraw from the 2024 presidential race after he repeatedly appeared to lose his mind during CNN’s June conversation. Additionally, several left-leaning media figures and Democrat leaders have demanded that Biden step down and allow the party to select a unique candidate.
Clooney asserted that his plea for Biden to withdraw was “nothing more” than” about age.” The artist added that there is “nothing that can be changed” about his choice.

” We are not going to get in November with this leader”, Clooney continued. ” On top of that, we wo n’t win the House, and we’re going to lose the , Senate. This is n’t only my opinion, this is the opinion of every , senator , and , congress , member and governor that I’ve spoken with in private. Every single one, irrespective of what he or she is saying officially”.
Clooney argued that Democrats needed to stop “putting their heads in the sand” and advocate for an alternative member despite referring to Biden as a “hero” who” saved politics in 2020.”
“]T] he dam has broken”, Clooney said. In November, we can throw our heads in the sand and beg for a mystery, or we can speak the truth.
Clooney suggested that Democratic voters may hear from leading Democrats, quite as Vice President Kamala Harris, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-Mich. ), Gov. West Moore (D-Md. ), Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif. ), Gov. J. B. Pritzker (D-Ill. ), Gov. Andy Beshear (D-Ky. ), and others.
” Would it be noisy? Yes. Politics is messy”, Clooney wrote. Do it, however, awaken voters who were already registered for the June argument and bring new life to our party? It certainly do”.
