In an August test in Rock Hill, the defendants ‘ attorneys will get a second life sentence after a 2019 violent crime spree that resulted in the death of one person and the injury of five others.

Marques Quantez Heath, 40, is accused of of shooting three people, including one who died, and bludgeoning three different people with a nail on&nbsp, Feb. 12, 2019. The daylight assault at two different images in 2019 caused class lockdowns, a two-state hunt and crossed position outlines from&nbsp, Rock Hill&nbsp, to Charlotte before Heath was caught in&nbsp, North Carolina.

Wellness faces murder, attempted murder, larceny, assault and battery of a large and aggravated nature, and theft claims from the 2019 event, according to court documents and 16th Circuit Deputy Solicitor&nbsp, Chris Epting.

Prosecutors brought Wellness to judge Wednesday at the&nbsp, Moss Justice Center&nbsp, in&nbsp, York&nbsp, to fully provide notice against him that any faith for those charges in the trial next month may result in a necessary second life sentence.

Wellness has already served a life sentence without the possibility of parole in a South Carolina prison for his views for dealing in illegal weapons and medicines in Rock Hill in December 2019. Those beliefs were from a 2018 imprisonment.

He likewise is accused of using a blade to kill his cellmate to dying at a&nbsp, Columbia&nbsp, jail last month, according to arrest warrants released in March by the&nbsp, S. C. Department of Corrections. That event is distinct and is still pending.

    The 2019 murder

Shanijela Shamichael Williams, 20, died at a&nbsp, Leach Road&nbsp, house in 2019 after Marsh reportedly shot her, according to authorities and court records. The region is western of&nbsp, Rock Hill&nbsp, out S. C. 5.

Marsh also reportedly shot&nbsp, Bethany Farrar, who was expectant, at the apartment on&nbsp, Leach Road.

Marsh assaulted three others at the residence, &nbsp, York County Sheriff’s Office&nbsp, deputies said.

Finally after fleeing&nbsp, Leach Road, Heath reportedly shot&nbsp, Laquata Wilson&nbsp, at home on&nbsp, Farlow Street&nbsp, yards away near&nbsp, Cherry Road&nbsp, and&nbsp, Interstate 77, according to lawyers and court documents.

Marsh was free on loan from an earlier 2019 domestic violence imprisonment and the 2018 drug and weapons case at the time of the&nbsp, Feb. 12 2019&nbsp, problems, records show.

Lawyers bring up Heath’s criminal record

According to court documents that were provided by the prosecution in the notice to get life without parole, Heath has eight prior felony convictions that date back to 2004.

    The file says:

    — In 2004, Marsh was convicted of crime and slavery break cocaine, according to prosecutors.

He was found guilty in 2006 of three drug-related drug trafficking offenses, including cannabis and crack cocaine. He was sentenced to nine centuries, documents show.

In the case where he had a stolen defense assault weapons, Marsh was found guilty of three drug expenses in the spring of 2019. He received a life sentence without the possibility of pardon.

Because of those beliefs, another judgment for murder, attempted murder, theft, assault and battery of a large and aggravated nature or crime means an automated life word, Epting said in court.

    Heath:” Not guilty”

Heath pleaded” not guilty” Wednesday in court. He told Judge&nbsp, Dan Hall&nbsp, he wanted to be judged” by God and my country”.

He has not been convicted of any crime in connection to the&nbsp, February 2019&nbsp, crime spree.

Heath’s lawyer, York County Public Defender&nbsp, B. J. Barrowclough, said after court:” We are working diligently to prepare for trial”.

The surviving victims of the assaults and shootings of 2019 were not in court on Wednesday.

    What happens now?

Heath’s trial for the 2019 charges is scheduled for the week of&nbsp, Aug. 12, according to court documents and statements made in court Wednesday.

The murder charge where he is accused of killing the other prisoner at&nbsp, Broad River Correctional Institute&nbsp, on&nbsp, Nov. 7, 2023, also remains pending, according to&nbsp, Richland County&nbsp, online court records.

The&nbsp, February 2019&nbsp, York County murder case and the&nbsp, Richland County&nbsp, murder case are separate.
