According to a new report, President Joe Biden’s Department of Veterans Affairs (VA ) is accused of helping to approach millions of dollars worth of insurance requests for medical personnel treating unlawful immigrants in federal prison while around 400, 000 soldiers and their families are awaiting medical care.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE ) has worked with the VA’s Financial Services Center in Austin, Texas, since 2002 to process reimbursement claims made by medical professionals who treat detained illegal immigrants in the United States.
According to a report from the Department of Homeland Security in July 2023 regarding” Healthcare Fees for Noncitizens in Detention,” the VA’s Financial Services Center processed 161, 538 insurance claims in Fiscal Time 2022. According to the report, the ICE Health Services Corps provided care for illegal immigrants for an amount of around$ 94.3 million in taxpayer money.
While the VA apparently assisted in processing millions of dollars in payment for illegal immigrant health care, the VA’s site revealed that 417, 855 benefit claims by soldiers and their people were still awaiting review earlier this year.
Following criticism of the VA’s Financial Services Center’s part in processing billing statements for illegal refugees, Terrence Hayes, a VA official, told The New York Post, “VA does not provide or account any health care to ICE detainees”.

The resurfaced statement was shared by the Wall Street Apes social media account on Friday in a blog on X, previously Twitter, which read,” Under The Biden Administration the VA is paying for care for illegal immigrants as over 400, 000 American Veterans and their people are forced to wait,” according to the blog.
A journalist who worked as a border agent shared information with the social media platform Friday that included a picture that explained how the VA’s reported role in treating illegal immigrants was disclosed in the social media post.
” I still do n’t have all of the facts, but it appeared VA is not directly providing to the immigrants”, a lawmaker can be heard saying in the video. The Biden administration has to reply to citizens and Congress, according to the article.” It seems VA is a mediator between the Department of Homeland Security and the facilities.
” And as of yet, the VA has no answered us, so we’re still continuing to aggressively move at this”, the senator added. “VA tools should always be directed to the soldiers, time. And I think we need to improve VA treatment in the community to make sure that veterans ‘ health care is provided to them, that it is being given to them, and that this frontier issue is not being sucked into.
