WASHINGTON: Blame activity and posturing began within days of the attempt to assassinate former US president and Republican candidate for national election, Donald Trump, on Saturday.
Democrats and Republicans in the conservative factions of Trump exchanged accusations, accusing the other side of contributing to the circumstances that led to the intended assassination.
Trump supporters whipped out a declaration from President Joe Biden that claimed “it’s time to put Trump in a bullseye” to slam the violent state that it was a deliberate attempt to kill their head.
” I have one work and that’s to conquer Donald Trump. We’re done talking about the ( June 27 ) debate. It’s time to set Trump in the ball. He’s gotten away with doing nothing for the last 10 days except ride around in his golf cart, bragging about scores he did n’t score…The fact is, he’s not answering questions”, Biden was reported to have said in a phone call to donors.
Trump supporters suggested that such statements, some of whom were attempting to get his running mate, led to the effort on his career.
The Biden campaign’s underlying idea is that Donald Trump may get stopped at all costs as an autocratic fascist. That speech led straight to President Trump’s attempted assassination”, Ohio lawmaker J D Vance, one of the leading contenders to be on the Trump seat, said in a speech.
South Carolina senator Tim Scott, another Trump supporter, shared a similar attitude, saying,” This be clear: This was an execution try aided and abetted by the dramatic Left and business advertising constantly calling Trump a threat to democracy, conservatives, or worse”.
On their part, Democrat supporters viewed the incident through their own lens of suspicion, one of them saying,” I’m not one for conspiracy theories, but you do n’t just stand around and fist pump when there’s an active shooter”.
The fact that the perpetrator carried an AR-15 semi-automatic weapons, a weapon of choice since for large guns in America, offended gun control campaigners.
” As we process this news about Donald Trump’s assassination attempt in Pennsylvania, remember the shooter did n’t act alone. He was assisted by 220 Republican House people, 49 lawmakers, and the NRA ( National Rifle Association ) who have consistently blocked weapons safety”, wrote one on social media.
Others criticized Trump’s own mocking of the killing of then-House speech Nancy Pelosi’s husband and his tacit threat of violence during the election campaign, including making the case that there would be a disaster if his party thought the outcome was cruel.
