‘ By the way the cash is in the banks.’ It was not
After accepting a dubious$ 270 million payment pledge from a cannabis farmer, the leader of Florida A&, M University did step down.
President Larry Robinson made his announcement next week, according to Politico,” though the precise date for when he will step down as president is unsure.”
His departure “opens a significant hole in the school system in Florida,” according to the governor. The vacancy will be filled by governors in the upcoming months. Ron DeSantis ‘ management, which has been violent in reshaping higher education in the state”, Politico reported.
According to his people notice about his departure, Robinson may take a journey and then return to work as a teacher at the historically dark school in Tallahassee.

The school is officially investigating the donation-in-name-only from 30-year-old Gregory Gerami.
The school, including Robinson, honored Gerami during the May graduation service. ” By the way the cash is in the bank”, Gerami said.
It echoed a similar promise he made in 2020 to Coastal Carolina University. Gerami promised$ 95 million but finally backed out of the deal, blaming it on “racism”.
Administrator Shawnta Friday-Stroud reportedly resigned as a result of the payment controversy. She held two roles in charity, one for the school and one for its basis.
She is still a doctor, yet.
According to the Tallahassee Democrat, the school has also come under scrutiny from state officials because of its small “licensure interview go rates.”
“FAMU’s exam pass rates show that only 41 % of the university’s College of Law students passed during their first attempt in 2023 — an outcome that falls 39 % short of the university’s 80 % approved goal, according to a 2024 FAMU accountability plan“, the newspaper reported.
” In February 2024, FAMU was still well below the benchmark but hit a 47 % first-time passage rate of the Florida Bar exam, which was a better passage rate than Florida State University’s 40 %”, the newspaper reported.
On average, the passing prices for the physical therapy and medical programs have also decreased.
Al Levine, vice chairman of the Florida Board of Governors, wanted to see how to reduce failing courses in June.
” I’m prepared to vote to take these programs away if we ca n’t do it the right way”, Levine said, “according to the Tallahassee Democrat“. The taxpayers who are paying for this are also ineligible, and the result is that they ca n’t pass their boards to practice what they were taught.
