
As he delivered his first formal statement as the UK’s opposition head to the Parliament on Wednesday, Rishi Sunak, on a lighter note, gave some tips to newly elected British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
” If I may offer some words of advice to people of opposite”, Sunak began.
” On the state seats, life comes at you quick. Soon, you might be able to receive a shoulder tapped and an offer of a young supervisory position. Next, you will find yourself attending case. Finally, in the cupboard”, he continued.
Sunak was referring to his own journey to the highest company, which included being appointed as a young Treasury Minister and then being promoted to president under the leadership of Boris Johnson.
” And when the prime minister’s part becomes unworkable, you may end up being called to the highest office”, Sunak said drawing giggles in the room.
He made fun of the fact that “before you know it, you have a brilliant prospect behind you and you are left wondering whether you can plausibly be an older leader at the age of 44 .”

Sunak’s talk came after the King’s conversation during the State Opening of Parliament, where Charles III outlined the new Labour Party government’s congressional plan for the upcoming season.
