
The U.S. Coast Guard rescued Barstool Sports leader Dave Portnoy on Monday after his ship lost power and sailed off Nantucket.
The 47-year-old professional said in a video posted on social media that he unhooked his vessel from a vessel before realizing he had” no authority, no radio, no outlet, no nothing”.
” Heavy, big breezes”, he said. ” Future thing you know, Captain Dave is lost at sea”.
Portnoy’s family was also on board the vessel at the time.
Portnoy claimed that he fired a rocket firearm while a rowboatgo pass by the Coast Guard.
The Coast Guard told WBZ-TV that Portnoy ‘s , 28-foot “pleasure craft…broke free of its mooring , in Nantucket Harbor and was drifting through the area”. The vessel was then to be town back to safety.
The company tree praised the Good Samaritan for having a Radio television set to aplaud the Coast Guard, and expressed gratitude for his use of frightened signs.
In an interview with NBC 10 Boston,  , Portnoy blamed his personal ignorance for the condition.
” I’m a new boat man — it was my second day out on a boat”, he told the station.
