Since Homelander’s portrayal as Donald Trump’s stand-in in winter 3, Amazon Prime Video’s” The Boys” has become an anti-Trump political concrete. The season finale, which was originally scheduled for” Assassination Run,” has been released a week after an attempt on the former president’s life, and has received a glad caution from Prime Video.  ,

This event contains scenes of imaginary political violence, according to the Season 4 finale’s announcement today. Any commonalities to current events are entirely fortuitous and unintentional. Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, Sony Pictures Television and the makers of The Boys oppose, in the strongest terms, real-world assault of any kind”.
In addition to the statement, they removed the” Assassination Run” title of the episode from their listing, which currently displays only as” Season Four Finale” . ,
The Boys Season Finale was initially called” Assassination Run,” but they changed it because it certainly has significant similarities to the President Trump assassination attempt in real life. photograph. twitter.com/JWz6Cg8XX2— Jon Del Arroz ( @jondelarroz ) July 18, 2024
The show is an allegory for what the leftists believe happened on January 6th, despite their speech and name treatment, according to rumors from the fake news media and irate speech from the Biden management. Homelander and the Seven use an army of characters in the event to arrest protesters all over the country while purging” rebels” from a hypothetical company called Vought International.  ,
The obvious goal of this show is to sway viewers into believing that Donald Trump will be a totalitarian dictator who needs to be overthrown at all costs. This is the exact kind of violent rhetoric that could have led to an unhinged shooter’s attempted fatal attack last Saturday.  ,

A shapeshifter dressed as Star attacks the leader in the last episode, assassinating him. Much like the real test on President Trump’s life, this effort fails, but the artists then have the incoming VP-elect murdered, resulting in the government’s imprisonment because he ordered it.  ,
It is obvious that the writers view President Trump as a perfect dragon who needs to be eliminated, and that they are delusional in their views. By showing Homelander, the Trump stand-in figure, creating an army and rounding up separatists, as well as showing a senator arrested for ordering the assassination of a competitor, it’s obvious this present intended to push this cruel vision of Trump on the show’s people.
Showrunner Eric Kripke has also made an important point, saying in an interview with Screenrant in 2020 that” we were genuinely interested in exploring the idea of power figures getting the people actually riled up with xenophobia and prejudice, but the most dangerous people are unfortunately the white boys standing next to you. We wanted to reflect that tale. So, the supervillains are, in a way, a misdirect”.
He went more unhinged at the 2022 Saturn Awards in a speech:” The message of’ The Boys ‘ is, in the real world, anyone who stands in front of you and says that they’re here to save you is f***ing lying and trying to sell you something. We all have a responsibility to save each other, taking care of the people next to you in a thousand, boring, unremarkable moments every day, and that is how the world gets saved”.

He concluded by saying” an eleven-foot high, twenty-foot long pe**s with a urethra tunnel, and I ca n’t think of a better tribute to the man. So, thank you everyone. Please vote. F*** MAGA. Have a good night”.

Kripke has also asserted that his portrayal of President Trump was the catalyst for a scene in 2023 where Homelander fatally shot a protestor.  ,
Kripke responded to the question in this interview with Hollywood Reporter, saying,” I’m not shy about putting that perspective in the show. Anyone who wants to call the show’ woke’ or whatever, that’s OK. Go watch something else”.
It’s clear what Prime Video’s” The Boys” is intended to do. They are well aware that having this episode come so close to President Trump’s actual death would be a terrible look for both the show’s creators and Amazon Prime Video as a whole, which is why they included a disclaimer on it. Hollywood is aware that the tide has turned and that they ca n’t get away with their derogatory rhetoric as they have for the past eight years due to Kyle Gass ‘ hateful statements from Tenacious D, which caused his bandmate Jack Black to cancel a tour and Gass’s agent to drop him.  ,

Given the content of the episode and the showrunner’s past hateful statements, it’s hard to believe they do n’t condone political violence as the disclaimer claims. It feels more like they’re trying to protect themselves from potential liability, given how damning” Assassination Run” is in the context of what’s happening in the election. At this point, the content warning is n’t enough, and at the very least, Eric Kripke and his cronies should apologize for the hate they’re spewing through” The Boys”.
