First Baptist Dallas ‘ historic chapel sanctuary was almost completely destroyed by a catastrophic fire, which caused smoke to waft over the city, but Dallas firefighters managed to save no lives or injuries.
The fire occurred in the Texas Historic Landmark, a Victorian-style reddish brick temple constructed in 1890. It was reported on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and, according to the rescuers, was brought under control about three hours later.
Justin Ball, the interval fire chief, told KDFW-TV,” We think it may have started in the room and then moved on to the next floor, but until we find out what caused it,” according to the research.
Older priest Robert Jeffress expressed love, saying,” We are glad that no one was injured… and are thankful for the first firefighters who helped contain the fire to our ancient sanctuary”. He even mentioned that the church had a volunteer for Vacation Bible School and 2, 000 children earlier that morning.
The sprawling christian congregation, boasting a strong membership of 16, 000, has shifted its main worship services to a modern facility opposite to the church’s unique historic sanctuary. Jeffress, known for his unwavering support of Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, disclosed to WFAA-TV his intentions to do services in the fresh worship center on Sunday.
