Former US President Donald Trump was injured by an assassination attempt at a rally in Pennsylvania last year, according to former White House doctors Ronny Jackson, a liberal senator from Texas.
According to Jackson’s letter, the shot passed near to Trump’s mind, striking the best of his right ears and causing a two-centimetre-wide scar that extended to the fleshy area of the ear. Initial signs of major bleeding and marked swelling of the whole upper neck.
” The shot passed, coming less than a quarter of an inch from entering his head, and struck the bottom of his proper ear”, wrote Jackson.
A 2cm large wound that ran down the cartilaginous area of the ear was caused by the bullet track. There was immediately important bleeding, following by a noticeable swelling of the whole upper ear”, he continued.
Jackson, who flew to observe Trump in New Jersey on the night of the march, has been treating the former mayor’s hearing since the event. He noted that the swelling has subsided, and the scar is beginning to recover correctly, although some bruising also requires a tape.
Due to the nature of the wound, no stitches were needed. Trump also underwent a CT scan of his brain while being treated at the clinic in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The letter, published by Trump on his Truth Social networking, also mentioned that the former president may have more evaluations, including a detailed hearing exam, as needed.
Jackson, who served under former president George W. Bush and Barack Obama, has a story with the White House physician system. He retired from the Navy as a back captain next year.
Jackson’s enthusiastic praise of the former president’s heath and “great genes” gained national attention while serving as Trump’s physician, with one suggestion that Trump could survive to get 200 years old with a healthy diet.
However, Jackson’s appointment to the Department of Veterans Affairs was withdrawn in light of accusations of improperly dispensing drugs and sporadic indolence at work.
As a congressional candidate, Jackson aligned himself closely with Trump, endorsing the narrative that Obama had “weaponised” the government to spy on Trump. He also questioned Joe Biden’s cognitive capacity to run for president and how he approached public health officials regarding the coronavirus. He claimed that wearing a mask should be a personal choice.
