SNAP recipients in eight states should anticipate seeing their July payments arrive on Sunday as their accounts are rapidly coming to an end.
The money, which can be used at any mall or grocery store that accepts the benefits, may be uploaded to an Electronic Benefit Transfer card, which functions as a debit card. To qualify for SNAP, a household income must be at or below 130 % of the poverty line —$ 2, 072 per month or$ 32, 328 per year. Rewards are distributed over a one-year time.
Some state distribute the money over the course of the month, while others do it all in a single day.
An adult victim is qualified to receive a regular allotment of$ 291.
Families with school-age children may get more cash over the summer to cover the costs of the school’s free and reduced-price lunch programs. Eligible families will see the extra payment, known as SUN Bucks, in their July stability.
