The Hamburg Islamic Centre and its associated organizations were found to be an Islamist radical organization with unlawful goals and radical Islam by the German state.
Germany’s inside government, in a statement, said that it “banned the Hamburg Islamic Centre and its associated institutions throughout Germany to day, as it is an Islamist radical institution pursuing anti-constitutional goals”.
The center, which claims to be a purely spiritual organization without any political agenda, is also a “direct representative of Iran’s high leader” and “promotes Tehran’s ideology in an intense and violent manner.”
The government said that The Hamburg Islamic Centre is attempting to remove democracy with “authoritarian, autocratic rule” and supports the “military and social dimensions” of organisations like Hezbollah.
Investigators searched 53 qualities across Germany on Wednesday that are suspected of being connected to the center, and the restrictions may also apply to a number of relevant organizations, including four Shiite mosques.
According to Interior Minister Nancy Faeser, the behavior is not against a particular church.
” I want to make it very clear: We are not taking action against a church. We are making a difference between the Islamist extremists we are attempting to combat and the numerous Muslims who are citizens of our nation and practice their faith. The relaxing process of the Shiite religion is essentially prohibited by this restrictions, according to Faeser.
Hezbollah’s activities on European soil were immediately prohibited by Germany’s law in 2020.
Due to its reported relations to Iran, the Hamburg Islamic Centre, which manages the Imam Ali Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque, has been under the watch of private knowledge for some time.
Authorities in seven European states conducted intensive raids on the center’s premises and other associated sites in November, obtaining “extensive evidence” that confirmed suspicions and led to the current restrictions.
