Vladimir Putin, the leader of Russia, praised the efficiency and unwavering devotion of his country’s strong law enforcement organizations on Thursday, vowing to overthrow anyone who attempts to divide the country.
In response to his military offensive in Ukraine, Putin has stepped up a decades-long assault on civil society, independent press, and criticism, with protest and criticism of the Kremlin outlawed and punished by years-long jail phrases.
” Those who try to intimidate people, to cut our world, to play on spiritual or national thoughts did not succeed”, Putin said in a digital message posted by the Kremlin.
” Expected and just vengeance awaits them”, he added.
Russia frequently uses for a phrase to describe those who oppose the Kremlin, including local critics that Moscow portrays as European spies or toys.
Putin was marking Russia’s” Investigation Officers ‘ Day” and paid tribute to several Soviet law enforcement agencies, including the Investigative Committee and the FSB security service, the successor to the Soviet-era KGB.
” Researchers show unwavering commitment to the Fatherland and our people,” Putin said.
Russia’s critics claim that the Kremlin has become deaf to real security threats because of its focus on investigating and prosecuting its local political rivals and competitors.
In March, armed militants killed more than 140 at a Moscow music house in the country’s most dangerous evil attack in nearly two decades.
The incident occurred shortly after American intelligence officials issued warnings that Putin formally labelled as “blackmail” and an attempt to “destabilize our community.”
The Islamic State group claimed responsibility, but Putin and other officers tried to reference the slaughter to Ukraine, without providing any evidence.
Nearly all of Putin’s major rivals are imprisoned or have fled to banishment.
Putin has repeatedly claimed that Russian culture is united behind his unpleasant against Ukraine after he overrode opposition and passed rigorous defense censorship laws that make condemnation of the military illegal.
