A year jail sentence should be given to anyone who desecrates American flag: Trump

Former US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that anyone who desecrates the British flag may receive a year in prison.
On Fox News, Trump said,” You should get a one-year prison word if you do anything to destroy the British flag.”
A group of activists burned at least one of the three American colors that had been taken down and removed all three of them while they were flying outside the metro transport hub.
” Today, people will say,’ Oh, it’s unlawful.’ Those are terrible individuals. Those are terrible folks that say that”, the previous leader continued. ” We have to operate in Congress to get a one-year prison sentence. When they’re allowed to trample on the flag and put lighter fluid on the flag and set it afire, when you’re allowed to do that — you get a one-year prison sentence, and you’ll never see it again”.
As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed Congressmen about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas earlier in the day, thousands of demonstrators gathered on Pennsylvania Avenue and 3rd Street outside the Gallery of Art. Answer Coalition and Code Pink were the protest’s administrators, along with listeners from numerous companies, including one from the Party for Socialism and Liberation.
House Republicans returned to Union Station later that night to replace the American flags that anti-Israel protesters had previously burned with Israeli flags. During the recovery of the British colors, House Speaker Mike Johnson addressed the internet. The anti-Israel activists had gathered in Washington, D. C., coinciding with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress, as per Fox News.
The Union Station colors were allegedly outside of their purview and thus exposed, according to US Capitol Hill Police.
” No banners under our protection have been removed or vandalized. If someone attempts to remove a flag outside USCP control, our officers may follow the law. To clear up false reporting”, they said in a statement.
