    California has the most road rage in US, Forbes says. Here’s what is making drivers angry

    When you’re behind the wheel in California, you might want to turn off the whistle.

    No. 1 is The Golden State. 1 in the nation in terms of&nbsp, street trend, according to a new Forbes Advisor research ranking the U. S. state with the most aggressive individuals.

    The personal banking system compared all 50 states to 10, 000 licensed vehicles across nine important indicators, including the proportion of individuals who had experienced road rage or witnessed it themselves.

    According to Forbes Advisor, “driving in the United States is becoming more risky as a result of combative driving.”

    Road rage shootings&nbsp, increased by more than 400 % between 2014 and 2023, according to The Trace’s analysis of data from the volunteer Gun Violence Archive.

    California has the most aggressive individuals in the country, Forbes Advisor said, with” a large proportion of drivers experiencing some type of road hatred, including being cut off, cursed at and&nbsp, tailgating“.

    This time, it replaced Arizona as the No. One position in the US for highway trend.

    This is a significant improvement over the No. 1 spot California held in 2023. 13.

    In 2024, California had the third-highest percent of individuals who had other vehicles intentionally cut them off in third, according to Forbes Advisor.

    Nearly 50 % of owners in California have experienced this, the review found

    California ranked third in the state in terms of the percent of individuals who have “been on the receiving end of yelling, insults, shouts or risks”, according to Forbes Advisor.

    About 32 % of Golden State individuals have experienced verbal abuse from different individuals.

    According to Forbes Advisor, about 11 % of California drivers have witnessed other drivers yell or fight at them while another 35 % have attempted to stop their cars from merging or changing lanes.

    This contrasts starkly with Hawaii, which was placed at the bottom of the list of states with violent individuals.

    In Hawaii, just 1 % of individuals experienced road rage very often.

    Which 10 claims have the most aggressive drivers?

    According to Forbes Advisor, these are the top 10 state in the US with the most violent owners:

    1. California

    2. Missouri

    3. Utah

    4. Oklahoma

    5. Colorado

    6. Mississippi

    7/8. Virginia (tie )

    7/8. Indiana (tie )

    9. New York

    10. Maryland

    According to Forbes Advisor, 41 % of drivers witnessed an act of road rage in the past 12 months, while 32 % experienced road rage from another driver and 22 % felt road rage themselves.

    According to respondents to the specific financial site’s study, the major reasons for feeling road rage were:

    Another driver was having a bad driving experience ( 40 % ).

    —An additional driver was aggressively driving ( 38 % ).

    —Another driver cut me off ( 31 % )

    — I was already feeling anxious ( 29 % ).

    —A different driver ( 27 % ) was tailgating me.

    About 36 % of drivers said they encountered aggressive drivers on city streets, and 27 % said they did so frequently on freeways or highways.

    Another popular spots for highway rage included crossings, parking lots and remote roads.

    Approximately 33 % of survey respondents claimed to have witnessed vehicle individuals acting out of road rage.

    SUV and sports car drivers were also among the best criminals.

    To establish which U. S. state have the most aggressive drivers, Forbes Advisor compared all 50 says across nine indicators.

    These included the proportions of individuals who reported that other drivers had forced their cars off the road, exited their vehicles to fight them, and attempted to stop their cars from merging or changing lanes.

    Data for all measures was gathered from a study of 10, 000 individuals who are at least 18 years older and drive at least one automobile.

    Between May 30 and June 14, Talker Research conducted this poll.
