Now, we’re heading down to Arizona for House and Senate primaries. We’ll begin with the Senate, which is one of the intriguing ethnicities to enjoy in the Grand Canyon State.  ,
On the Democrat side, Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz. ) is running unopposed, so he’ll cruise through to the general. His entry into the race was reportedly what prompted Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz. ) to choose not to seek re-election.  ,
Past newscaster and gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake squares off against scientist Elizabeth Reye and former Pinal County judge Mark Lamb in the GOP primary. Lake has dominated the polls, but her entire lead has slowed, and she has spent a significant portion of the election looking elsewhere than the primary to criticize Gallego and the Biden-Harris administration.
Going into November, two House tribes appear to be near races. In the 1st District, Rep. David Schweikert (R-Ariz. ) faces businessman Robert Backie and FBI agent-turned-corporate investigator Kim George in his quest for an eighth term. In a sparse Democrat area, the GOP nominee will face off against the winner. In the 6th District, freshman Rep. Juan Ciscomani (R-Ariz. ) faces the GOP challenger he took in 2022, and if he wins, he’ll face the same Democrat he beat two years ago.
While the Democrats have their eyes on winning those districts, the rest of Arizona’s districts are n’t as hotly contested. Liberals are also attempting to occupy the position legislature’s two tanks.

In addition to the congressional and state legislative races, there’s a nationwide contest for Corporation Commissioner. Elections may close in Arizona at 10 p. m. Eastern, except for the Navajo Nation, where elections did shut at 9 p. m.
