Former US President Donald Trump was shot in the neck by FBI Director Paul Abbate, according to his deputy director, Christopher Wray.

Senate Republicans grilled Abbate and Ronald Rowe Jr., the acting director of the Secret Service, over Thomas Matthew Crooks ‘ failed attempt to assassinate Trump at a campaign rally on July 13 in Pennsylvania on July 30.
After Kimberly Cheatle’s resignation two weeks ago as chairman of the Secret Service’s acting producer, Rowe took over.
Prior to the rally, the Secret Service had been subject to severe condemnation for failing to implement effective security steps and for maintaining communication with local law enforcement on the ground.
Senator John Kennedy (R-LA ) questioned Abbate about whether President Trump had been shot in the ear by a Crooks-fired bullet in his head.
Abbate claimed that the FBI had “absolutely no fear” that former president Trump had been shot and ear wounds.
On July 24, Wray told the House Judiciary Committee,” I think there’s some ambiguity about whether or not it’s a bullet or debris that, you know, hit his ear.”
Wray’s assertion that Trump might not have been struck by a large fired by Crooks during the Pennsylvania march was criticized by House Speaker Mike Johnson.

” We’ve all seen the movie, we’ve seen the research, we’ve heard it from various sources in various perspectives that a shot went through his hearing. I’m not convinced it matters that much”, said Johnson.
Abbate claimed that the FBI found a Crooks on Gab social media account where he made “extreme” feedback that “appear to reflect racist and anti-immigration styles” and “espouse social violence”
But, Gab CEO Andrew Torba refuted Abbate, blogging,” The FBI is then claiming that the Trump sniper Thomas Matthew Crooks had an unknown’ social media account‘ in 2019/2020 ( when he was 14/15 years older ) that posted’ anti-immigrant and anti-semitic’ content“.
According to an Emergency Disclosure Request ( ‘EDR’ ) the FBI received last week for the Gab account “EpicMicrowave,” the FBI appeared to believe that the shooter’s motives were related to Thomas Crooks, which is inconsistent with Gab’s understanding of the shooter, according to Torba.  ,
” The tale is this: the bill for which information was requested was, UNEQUIVOCALLY, pro-Biden and in particular pro-Biden’s immigration plan”.
” To the best of Gab’s understanding, as of 2021, Crooks was a pro-lockdown, pro-immigration, left-wing Joe Biden supporter”, Torba added.
Rowe criticized local law enforcement who were stationed close to the ceiling where Crooks fired his bullets for no identifying him before he opened flames, and admitted that the Secret Service was ultimately to blame for the site’s shortcomings.

” The only thing we had was that citizens were working on an issue at three o’clock,” Rowe said, “because that’s when the picture came.”

Rowe’s assertion was refuted by members of the local District team working to safeguard Trump, who later revealed to ABC News that they had no contact with the Secret Service prior to the attempted assassination of the former president.
Jason Woods, one of the guns with the District group in Beaver County, said,” We were supposed to get a face-to-face presentation with the Secret Service guns whenever they arrived, and that never happened”.
Because that rarely happened and we had no connection with the Secret Service, Woods continued,” I think that was definitely a key point where I started to believe things were bad.”
Crooks ‘ initial shots were reported to local law enforcement 90 days before the Secret Service realized that the 20-year-old intended murderer was still at large, according to local law enforcement.

In a July 30 internet obtained by RealClearPolitics, a claiming to be a member of the Secret Service counter-sniper group demanded that five “high-level bosses” be fired in response to Trump’s attempted assassination and warned that a second attempt on his life might occur before the November election.
” This bureau NEEDS to change, if not now, WHEN”? said the adviser.
” The Future death test in 30 days? since we should all anticipate a second test before November.
” Loss is not an option, and on 7/13/24, WE failed. Not because of dedication or feeling of dedication. But because our SUPERVISORS (aka management ) knew better and thought our fears were less than crucial”, he continued.
In response to Cheatle, the Secret Service agent stated that he would not continue speaking out until those five people were removed from their jobs, but that one had already left.
After the deadly incident, Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO ) testified to Rowe in which cases some people who were in charge of the rally’s security plan continued to hold their positions.
” I will tell you, legislator, that I did never rush to judgment, that persons will be held responsible, and I will do so with dignity and never rush to judgment and put people unfairly prosecuted”, Rowe said in reply.

The anonymous counter-sniper claimed that his team was viewed by superiors as  , “‘guys who sit on the roof and do n’t do much”.
He stated that the Secret Service’s main concern is not to guard” an EMPTY White House located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue” but to avoid “another JFK type assassination, in whatever area that does be”.
” Ironically, we have fallen short for YEARS. We just got happy and looked fine doing it”, he added. He claimed that his team’s managers “fell under the impression that those with less practice knew more than I did.”
” The group I was again glad to be a part of, is something I have to then apparently disguise as I move into my next job”, the counter-sniper wrote.
