The Pentagon has failed every inspection it has undergone for five years in a column, but it also does but in the name of torturing a man’s best friend. Not only does the sluggish “national protection” state spend taxpayer funds on various programs.

More details about the Department of Defense’s related activities have recently been revealed, and we reported on the resurrected Fauci Beagle abuse program about a fortnight before.

White Coat Waste Project ( hereafter “helicopters” ):
Since the 1980s, DOD policy has banned the use of dogs ( and cats and primates ) in trauma training and weapons experiments, but we’ve exposed a loophole that’s allowed the agency to continue torturing dogs in other testing.
We’ve already exposed how the DOD is wasting$ 1 million on butcher greyhounds through cruel and unnecessary drug tests and are focusing on dog abuse.
The U.S. Army recently initiated a$ 949, 108 beagle test, which is intended to force the creatures to consume large amounts of an experimental drug allegedly with the intention of obtaining FDA approval. Generally, during these testing, hundreds of babies are abused, and eventually they are killed and dissected…
However, the FDA has stated clearly that it, “does not sanction that mortal medication be studied in canines”. The DOD also acknowledges that “animal models have weakly predictive effects on humans and have limited impact to humans.”

According to the letter signed by 25 members of Congress to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin (emphasis added ):
We are asking for more details about the Department of Defense’s ( DoD ) funding of dog experiments that appear to be pointless and cruel.  ,
The DoD recently spent about$ 949,000 to conduct a three-month-long study of drug poisoning using hound dogs, according to an investigation conducted by the watchdog group White Coat Waste Project in May 2024. For this type of drug toxicity testing, puppies are usually forced to consume significant amounts of experimental substances every 13 weeks, which is followed by their death. With the commitment beginning on August 1, 2023, and scheduled to end on July 31, 2024.  ,
We do n’t think that the DoD’s funding of inhumane dog experiments for human drugs is a wise use of its resources. In 2021, the Food and Drug Administration ( FDA ) stated it, “does not mandate human drugs be studied in dogs”. Independent studies continue to demonstrate that 90 % of animal experiments do n’t produce promising results and result in human treatments. The continued use of canine tests turns out to be ineffective and a liarious use of tax money despite the smallest of gains.  ,
DoD plan has for many years prohibited the use of dogs and cats for research into weapons development and medical or surgical training. However, it appears that the plan has allowed dogs to be used for additional testing and research where there are currently solutions. Non-animal approaches exist, and the office may allocate more resources to create a better future for pharmaceutical research. These methods are more credible, affordable, and confirm an honest standard the DoD may uphold.
